Hello! Thank you for visiting my page! My name is Josh Guth, I am a southern Minnesota photographer based in Mankato who specializes in portraits. From senior portraits to weddings, my objective is to make your experience in front of the camera as comfortable and fun as possible! I pride myself in using poses that look natural and candid with a strong focus in capturing true emotion. Nothing is more important to me than the real you! What You Can Expect
When you book with Josh G Photography, you’re booking an experience. What does that mean? My approach to photography isn’t just about taking the most beautiful photo and getting the perfect pose. I do this to have fun, meet new people, and create something to be proud of. I can almost guarantee I’m going to make you do something that feels weird, quirky, and you’re going to wonder “how the hell is this going to look good!?” Well, just trust the process. My plan is to see you laugh and make goofy faces, to expose the real you and not just someone posed to “look good.” Then, after I’ve made you question my sanity, I’ll go home, meticulously pick out the best images, edit them, and send them your way! You’ll get a private online viewing gallery where you can download all of your full resolution images, purchase prints if you so choose, and then smile or laugh at how happy you look in your beautiful photos!
Something a Little Different
Not only is my approach to photography a bit out of the ordinary, so is my editing. I don’t follow along with fads in editing techniques, trying to mimic other popular photography styles. I enjoy bold, contrasty images. I also edit images around the photo itself, trying to convey the mood set by the subject matter. This means that every now and then you’ll get photos that have a slightly different look to them, it also means that I don’t just 1 click preset all of my photos. I go through each photo and edit it the best of my ability. I also have a very strong appreciation for black and white photography, and who doesn’t love a punchy black and white photograph?!
