Whether it’s your entire wedding or an hour session, my objective is to make your experience in front of the camera as comfortable and fun as possible with an artistic eye! I pride myself in using poses that look natural and candid with a strong focus in capturing true emotion. Nothing is more important to me than the real you! When you book with Josh G Photography, you’re booking an experience. What does that mean? My approach to photography isn’t just about taking the most beautiful photo and getting the perfect pose. I do this to have fun, meet new people, and create something to be proud of. I can almost guarantee I’m going to make you do something that feels weird, quirky, and you’re going to wonder “how the hell is this going to look good!?” Well, just trust the process. My plan is to see you laugh and make goofy faces, to expose the real you and not just someone posed to “look good.” Then, after I’ve made you question my sanity, I’ll go home, meticulously pick out the best images, edit them, and send them your way! You’ll get a private online viewing gallery where you can download all of your full resolution images, purchase prints if you so choose, and then smile or laugh at how happy you look in your beautiful photos!

What do I do best at weddings?
Am I the best photographer in the world? Nope (not yet anyways!) Am I the best in the Mankato Area? Hell no! So what am I the best at? Probably being goofy, making people laugh, and sending you photos that other photographers would more than likely throw out or not even take in the first place and then show it off. I love a good candid photo. Candid photos, when, taken at the right time, tell the best stories! And at weddings, oh the stories we can tell! In 20 years, when you look back at your photos, I don’t want you to just smile and flip to the next photo. I want you to remember the moment, laugh, and even cry. My goal isn’t to just take your portrait, it’s to create memories
Something a little different
Not only is my approach to photography a bit out of the ordinary, so is my editing. I don’t follow along with fads in editing techniques, trying to mimic other popular photography styles. I enjoy bold, contrasty images with colors that pop. I go through each photo and edit it to the best of my ability. I also have a very strong appreciation for black and white photography, and who doesn’t love a punchy black and white photograph?!
